BEST K9 wouldn’t be able to change the lives of many dogs and their owners if it wasn’t for our very own demonstration dog, Roxie. She is a Black Labrador, Rottweiler Cross, born in 2009. I had her from the age of 5 weeks because her mom died when her and her litter-mates were only 3 weeks old. She turned out to be the best dog I have ever owned, loved and cared for!
She is the heart-beat of the company helping every dog that comes through our door! She has helped dog’s recover from aggression, fear, nervousness, re-activity and more. She is a big help in almost every private lesson, every board & train, and continues to provide just that in many of the group classes and semi-privates. She really solidifies our client’s dogs and achieving their goals by making them into willing, focused pets!
Her job as a demonstration dog doesn’t stop there! She has been part of bite prevention seminars to show children the best way to stay safe. This is vital for children to know and understand how to interact properly with dogs! She has also helped people get over their fear of dogs, because she has such a great demeanor, and truly loves people!
Roxie is not always at “work”. She is well loved and cared for, and very much, part of my everyday life! She goes everywhere I go! She loves to go on trail rides, interacting by learning new things and playing games like ball, tug and search. She also loves to cuddle down beside me while I do office work and truly enjoys affection and being the center of attention. We have a very strong bond!
